Pellegrini Brief description: The purpose of the thesis was describing the operation of pulsed plasma thrusters thus provides for the creation of physical and mathematical models that depict and reproduce the structures that form it simulating the behavior. In support a computer code makes it possible to estimate in the first approximations the performance of these engines for several geometric configurations and operational. The study is focused on systems of energy storage and generation of the discharge on the surface of the propellant and the benefits dependent thereon. At the end I have developed a software that makes easier the analysis of discharge processes in some configuration of the PPT. Finally I analyze the process in a breechfed parallel plates driven by a discharge circuit LRC ablative pulsed thruster studying the performance for variations of the geometry of the electrodes and for different values of energy discharge.
